Memories are a Place, Not a Time is out for review

The draft of my new novel, 10th in the series, was sent to readers this morning. It has taken me longer than expected to get to this point, primarily because the journey of the main character, Kendall Smith, takes on a new and exciting dimension. He faces his own mortality, but comes to realize that the combination of science and spirituality can be very powerful. Below is a segment of the cover letter I plan to send to literary agents following the book's final editing.
"Memories Are a Place, Not a Time follows an American water expert from a fractious Washington D.C. to the mysterious Sahara Desert as he confronts a problematic past and a devastating cancer diagnosis. In dialogue reminiscent of Aaron Sorkin’s The West Wing and a personal story that stirs memories of Somerset Maugham’s The Razor’s Edge and Peter Matthiessen’s Snow Leopard, the author weaves a compelling tale that culminates in striking revelations about time, life, and the spiritual potential of the spacetime continuum.

"One of my favorite passages in my Writer’s Digest reviews is the following: 'To have an author who is able to write political fiction and make it as engaging as Wieneke does takes a certain kind of writing style that not everyone can grasp or pull off.'
I plan to update the readers of this blog updated on my quest to capture the interest of agents and/or publishers, on a regular basis. Thanks for your attention and support!
